Mrslee

Say hello to Mrs. Lee

Poor old dear, when she met me

Gone and shook my craggy hand

Gave her name, most unplanned

As all good Fae, I kept my word

I'd bring it back, sweet old bird

But when I went to give it back

The sky was dark and growling black

I asked the vicar what was wrong

And he sang a wretched song

As turns out, she died famished

Then her ghost had gone and vanished

Now I'm left, the newest me

Say hello to Mr. Slee

Labyrinth cw:body horror

Walls of stone & moss & hedge

Arise on every side

Found you in the dark & couldn't help but go within

Hand trailing ever on

The path redolent of decay

I should be scared, should long for home

But on I go, step after step

You, drawing me out with mystery

How long have I caressed your Mobius walls

Til hair is gone & nails so too

Til feet bleed feeding the path

Walking to the beat of your pulse

Like waves in a cove

I a vessel on your waters

My body metastasises

Rusted withered integrated

Lovingly embraced

Made whole within

Skin of stone & moss & hedge

Known Unknown

The lake and its city

The suns which hang above

Their meaning

Of esoteric importance

Only the names

Their shape

Chase your lips

Their tones, terrible

A slithering

Snaking knowledge

A sign

Portent

Of an awe-ful presence

Descending

Crown, twisted

Face, maskless

And robes

Yellow

Cleansing

With the encroaching

Bramble

Vine

And weeds

We took measures

To ensure our settlement

Would stand

A bulwark

Against nature

The fires spread

Faster than anticipated

So few

Managed to flee

Now

Where stood walls

Lies only

A field of flowers

Beyond ours

All I ask for

All I beg for

Is peace

Out beyond the houses

Past the fields

Without road

Or path

Or footfall

Nestled between

Stone and root

Gone seeking, had I

Following the silence

Lurking in the canopy

Finding its home

And so, now, I rest

I sleep

In this

Tranquility
